Welcome to another edition
It was a big week last week and with the advent of our new Facebook site I was kept busy with the doily update. Well busy for me anyway.

Farmer on the couch
It was reported on Facebook last week that Marnoo East no tiller Brian “Farmer” Healy was a little bit twitchy about the upcoming season. So he thought he’s consult his trusty consultant Andrew “Clown” Newall who told him not to worry and jump back on the couch for another month.....

Ladies no Ladettes
I was expecting something big from this one but nothing eventuated. Lois Johnson assured me things were going to happen after a group of native women took a bus to St Arnaud for a night out. I was sure one of them would have slept in the gutter or picked up someone half their age, but nothing of the sort or at least they’re not telling me!! We’ll just have to leave it up to the cricketers again for this week..............

Nisbet get’s engaged
Former native and current day ratbag Andrew “Upstart” Nisbet is engaged to the lovely Julia. Now for the record it happend last weekend and they were in Marnoo last weekend for the cricket. I’m now after the where and when details please. “Upstart” can you leave all the details on my Facebook site.

What a performance
The crickets probably didn’t have a great day at the office but come night time they are world beaters. After a few beers at “Blue Cans” it was then time to venture out to the “Mansion” for a few more. For those that don’t know we have named Nigel “Winebar” Slee and his lovely wife “Chooks” place the mansion because it’s the only two story house I know in the district. Well did these cricketers perform, some didn’t even get to bed.

Captain snooze
Man about town Gary “Larry” Cameron was a bit miffed about the sleeping arrangements out at Winebars on Sunday morning, he tells me he went to bed with Andrew and Julia and woke up with Herbie and Marcia!!!!

Dog not lost
Host for the evening “Winebar” was a bit concerned for his dog on Sunday morning, you see he left it on the ute but he couldn’t fine his ute!!!!!!

Jack no longer
No, no, no, no, no this is not going to be about Hall of Fame member Jack Cameron, it’s about another “Jack” from years ago, Jack Thomson one of the many famous corner shop proprietors we have had in this little town over the years. What sparked my memory was I went to the Boorhaman pub last Sunday just a half hour South East of Yarra. Well Jack and his lovely wife Lorna (who could forget Lorna) used to own the Boorhaman pub after they left Marnoo. Also how could you forget son Cammy and Daughter Penny...............

End of message
