Welcome back
Another week just flies on bye and I must extend a warm welcome back to all our “print” subscribers who missed last week’s edition. We did however have an “online” version though. So to keep up with it all and to view last week’s edition go to http://thesquarelegfiles.blogspot.com/

Marnoo’s record partnership
Well what a day for the MCC, they scored a massive 7/398 against a hapless ANA Boolite. Leading the charge was an amazing 298 by Stewart “Samcka” MacPherson (136) and Trevor “Junior” Pickthall (165) for the opening partnership. Now I have been around cricket for many years and I haven’t seen such a huge opening partnership in my time. So well done to all the lads and if the MCC can’t defend that score well I will pay Jack Cameron’s bar bill for the week!

USA trip did no harm
Trevor “Junior” Pickthall has just returned from the US where he was driving headers. It certainly didn’t do his cricket any harm as he now has over 200 runs in his last two hits since his return at an average of over 100.

Jack’s quote for the week
It’s just about a weekly occurrence as SLF favourite John “Jack” Cameron unleashes another of his famous one liners to the masses at the corner shop. Now I got told this one second hand and I think it’s a case of “have to be there”. You see about half a dozen patrons were debating the inclusion of Kiwi Brendan McCullum in the NSW 20/20 team against the Vics the other night, some agreed and some didn’t as the debate went on for 15 minutes. As it all finished it went deathly silent and a voice from around the corner piped up and said “That Obama has got alot to answer for”. Apparently the group were in fits of laughter!!!

Second job
I didn’t want to announce that I had a second job just in case it didn’t work out, but not only do I now write the SLF, I also got the gig of writing the Yarrawonga Mulwala A Grade cricket report. So this struggling little reporter who hailed from the Kanya hills is growing wings. So when they ask, what is he doing over there (Yarrawonga), well now you all know. Oh yer the payment for doing the cricket report is the same as I get for the SLF!!!!

I’m an Aussie
Australia Day is now a huge event on the calendar and I hope you all forgot about the “rooted economy” and had a feed of lamb chops and a cold one or two. For me it couldn’t get more Aussie than cruising down the Murray River with some family a friends on several truck tubes tied together whilst having a cold one or two and munching on some cold chops for lunch. Now that is what Australia Day is all about. What did you get up to???

End of message

Can someone tell me if Muzza McGregor is farmer from Callawadda? If so, I dated him roughly 20 years ago. Tall, curly hair, deep voice, loved B&S's? If same man, what is he up to nowadays? PS: my name is female, please do not confuse me for man!
