Hello and welcome
Well what a week last week with some lovely rain throughout the district. Reports were that the more West you were the more you got but nobody is complaining and with some follow up this week things have turned around quick as a Mitch Morton play on…

A happy Farmer
A farmer that gets rain is a happy farmer and there is no more happier farmer than Brian “Farmer” Healy when it rains. The guru no tiller’s spirits certainly lift when the stuff falls from the sky and now with a few winter showers and a big spring things might go our way for once.

Don’t be deterred though…
A wise old fox told me that one rain doesn’t make a season and the drought ain’t over until the creeks and dams are full to overflowing. The barometer for this is without doubt the Muddy Waterholes Creek, so we can only declare the drought over when that important waterway is running a banker.

Bottoms up
Former Wal Wal resident Adam “Bottom” O’Sullivan received a visit form our very own Stewart “Smacka” MacPherson last weekend. You see the big bottom lost half his arm in a workplace accident a couple of months ago and Smacka went to catch up with his former neighbour. When he arrived in Sydney he asked Bottom for the street and number so he could call round. Bottom gave him the street but said don’t worry about the number as there is a couple of big shiny red fire trucks out the front. Apparently the big bottom had drilled a hole through a gas main and the neighbours had to be evacuated.

Avoiding the situation
Speaking of Smacka, I was in the boozer the other night when I noticed that Smacka was avoiding the Farmer. Couldn’t really work out why. Has anyone got a clue?

Mayor returns
Derek “The Mayor” Cameron and his brood have just returned from a well earned break in Fiji. I’m told through number one son Darcy’s facebook site that it was the trip of a lifetime. At one stage Darcy mentioned that he had just returned from a night club, last time I saw him he was only 15 but I guess they aren’t real strict on ages over there. But then again The Mayor himself used to frequent a few Horsham night spots at around the same age…and went pretty well too….

President’s day last weekend
President’s day is usually a big event on the calendar and I’m told that all former “Royal” Presidents where invited back to the “Whitehouse” for firstly golf and then a meal on Sunday night. Not sure about who the best performers were but on this particular day in the past the port flows pretty well towards the end of the evening and I’m told that some of the worst hangovers happen after this day. Trouble is though non of my spies have reported in and that gets me thinking that they all may be knocked up in bed with a sore head. Must have been a bid day/night.!!!!

Legacy Day
What a famous day this is and it’s just around the corner, June the 13th just to be precise. If you have never experienced a Legacy day then come down as it’s not about the golf (if you haven’t played don’t worry because you get to play in teams) it’s about raising money for Legacy. Some of the Royals most famous “happenings” have happened on this day in the past and it’s an event not to be missed. Raising money is second nature on this day but this year might be the biggest year yet. Why? Because we will all be “under the hand of Guru”. Enough said…

That’s all
