Welcome again
I missed last week as I got caught up doing other things but this week is a little different with Easter and such, I have a bit of time on my hands but the inflow of info is in drought proportion. However we will see how we go.
Bingle in Bungle
I got an email outlining the fallout between Australians cricketers Michael Clarke and Andrew Symonds and to cut a long story short they fell out because apparently Symonds actually introduced her to Clarke and after a couple of week Clarke wanted her to himself and then Symonds got a bit upset and slagged her to a few teammates of which Clarke found out and that when Symonds said he was “going fishin”. Of course for this family publication I had to leave out a fair bit but for those with an imagination you can probably roughly work out what happened.
Pencil needs resharpening
I bet you our very good friends down at that magnificent club called Carlton had that one pencilled in. Those wonderful supporters will be a tad disappointed but give them a week or so and they will be back on that very high perch they have made for themselves.
Golf season underway
The golf season has kicked off once again and the anticipation around the club has been electric. Under, “the-hand-of-Guru” the club is looking for a successful year and the quality of golf should be high. I think we should find just a normal Saturday club day and promote the hell out of it and try and get at least 30 local members along. Can someone nominate a day???
You’ve got mail
Whilst on the subject can someone in the golf hierarchy please post me a 09 draw. Send it to PO Box 409, Yarrawonga, 3730. Thanks in advance.
Wish me luck
I am in Melbourne for a couple of days and I am actually heading to the Bulldogs/Tigers game and attending with all the Nisbets, the whole bloody lot of them and they are like snarling dogs when they watch the scraggers go round. Wish me luck!!!
A litre at a time
I was talking to part time South American resident Wally “Wallace” O’Connor the other day and he had just got back from a 1500km drive and decided (as you do) to drop into the bottle shop and grab a couple of beers, you know for the last 100km of the trip. Well he grabbed 3 x 1 litre bottles of Quilmes (the local drop) and that got him to his destination alright. However he did mentioned that the litre bottles were a real hit with our very own Armand “Herbie” Duxson when he was over there a couple of years ago. “Big tank and it needs filling” Wally said.
No need for ice
When I was talking to Wally he was way down South of Argie and it reached a top of 4 degrees and the wind didn’t get under 70kph. No wonder he didn’t need those two extra bottles on ice!!!!
Read all about it
You can read all about Wally’s day to day activities on www.ausfarmonline.com.au it’s certainly worth a read and it gives you and insight into what farming is like in another country. Also my Yarra mate Dwain “Daryl” Duxson told me to pass on that he has a couple of job vacancies available. Go to the above website for a look and if you know of anyone that would be interested could you please pass it on.
Keep an eye out please
Can somebody please keep and eye on Mr Asia for me................I’m keen to know what he’s up too!!!
