Another week
Hello and welcome to another week of the SLF, can anyone tell me when it’s going to rain, I don’t know but it doesn’t seem to want too.

Swilling on the hill
I’m told the swill on the hill was a pretty quiet event this year as only a few made the climb to my old stamping ground, Mt Bolangum. It certainly is an event that needs the support of the natives to keep it going.

Cricket this weekend
The cricket for the MCC starts this weekend and it’s a new hierarchy this year with local go getter Gary “Larry” Cameron at the helm. The MCC have a very good team on paper and should win there fair share of games.

More news
The cricketer should provide plenty of fodder for this little column. The return of Armand “Lids” Duxson to the fray will be welcomed by this little black duck

All washed up
The Corporate Cup claimed its fair share of victims with a Terry “The Madman” Brear claiming it took until Wednesday to recover. Must have been the alcohol fuelled Strawberries that Lois “Naked Chef” Johnson provided.

What a roast
The meal at the Corporate Cup was again superb and the team of ladies led by The Naked Chef should be congratulated once again.

Late news
My Yarrawonga mates Dwain “Duxsy” Duxson and the lovely Paula tied the knot over the weekend after first getting together 13 years ago.

Fruit salad city
I’m told that a respected member of the Marnoo West community is making regular trips to the fruit salad city, Mooroopna. More details please.

The milk and the honey
I made as trip to WA last week and the placed I went were like the land of milk and honey, there will be some big results for many areas over there.

That’s about all for this week
